The Female Hormone Test is for anyone who is curious about their fertility status. If you are starting a family, or are thinking about pregnancy down the line, the female hormone test is for you.
The test offers a picture of your fertility status.
The Female Hormone sample must be collected on Day 3 of your menstrual cycle to ensure accurate results. The third day of your menstrual cycle refers to the third day of blood flow during your period.
It is important that no hormonal contraceptives are being taken when you use the test, as the results of this test may be affected.
The sample must be collected before 10 am on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday and returned on the same day. It may be necessary to wait until day 3 of your cycle falls on one of these days.
*Results may be affected if you have an irregular menstrual cycle or if you have been taking hormonal contraceptives within the last three months.
Follicle Stimulating Hormone is responsible for stimulating the growth of egg-bearing follicles in your ovaries.
Luteinizing Hormone is responsible for ovulation. It works in conjunction with follicle stimulating hormone to trigger the release of the egg.
Prolactin is a hormone made in your pituitary gland and is responsible for testosterone secretion and sperm production.
